Also fuck the anime and its habit of introducing cool one-off characters who never make another full appearance.

They have too many Pokemon were they literally can't even fit them all into one game anymore.

They are f****** stupid I'm not saying they had to keep it at 151 but they should have cultivated a core team of slowly growing Pokemon roster so that overtime everyone would pretty much be familiar with all of them nobody can keep up with this crap anymore

They can fit all in but just lazy and incompetent. This isn't Yu-Gi-Oh! with thousands of monsters and convoluted battle rules for different archetypes. You must want all the young kids buying these games getting bored out of their minds seeing the same bunch of monsters all the time. The main reason people play Pokemon is to (gasp) see and catch NEW Pokemon! That and battling, which is secondary. I really emphasized the new part because that's been part of the downfall of this series last few gens. Lack of content. Whether it's the much smaller rosters of new mons or just lack of things to do generally.

Sword and Shield cut out a TON of 'Mon. Them having so many is why the show quickly features then rushes out each 'mon giving it 10 minutes of airtime, only, once, then never again.

Trust me, S&S isn't a fluke, rendering dynamic sprites for the whole Pokedex drains too many resources from their animators and programmers, we might never see the full Pokedex in a game again the way it keeps expanding.

And lol at kids still needing new 'Mon; What, like Garbador or that ice-cream Pokemon, or generic animal pokemon that dont bring anything to the table?

They cut them only to add them back (most) later. It made all the drones defending them look like fools. Their original excuse of focusing on quality was a joke. That's what my sig is mocking in fact. The original statement from Masuda was he had no choice but to choose the quality. Well I didn't see that much quality in the base game, even if it did improve with the DLC. GameFreak are incompetent. And all those models for older mons are models they've been using for years. They outsource the new ones too. And obviously children wouldn't care about new games if there weren't a bunch of new Pokemon to market and promote a new gen. You can't be serious.

The logic of less designs increasing quality doesn't work because you run the risk of not only having a small dex but the designs being bad too. That's exactly what happened in gen 7. Alola was horrible. I'd rather a large roster with some trash designs but also lots of cool ones. Gen 1, Gen 3 and Gen 5 did that.
