They are free to not put the cart back. Even working at multiple retailers, when im off the clock shopping and going home im not obligated to put the cart back and theyd get in trouble for approaching me about the issue. Everyones free to not put their carts back. Hes not free to put magnets on their cars.

Everyone's free to wear Westboro Baptist Church signs as T-shirts. Doesn't mean no one should call them out on it. Assholes see unwritten social norms and store policies and go "But that's not the law, so I'll do what I want and fuck anyone who looks at me sideways." Maybe society has always been this awful, but modern conveniences are definitely amplifying the attitudes.

If you don't return your carts you're a dog shit tier person who has zero regard for for the general public. This isn't up for debate.

I've caught multiple runaway carts that were left out. If I, or someone else who literally gives the bare minimum of a shit, hadn't been there those carts would absolutely have run into someone's car and most likely damaged it.

Again, theres a good way and a bad way to go about being a Cart Narc. The guy in the videos show the wrong way to do it.

If I was the person being filmed, yeah Id feel some shame if they called me out and then left. But if they call me out, start putting things on my car, not respecting my wishes when I tell them to stop that, etc. then yeah, Im gonna blow up and likely never put my cart back again. As a bystander, I dont want to put my cart back. If someone is gonna be that insufferable, might as well feed into it and give them a reason to be insufferable. Like watch the video and see the bystanders turn on him.

He has no responsibility for their reaction. Do you want us to change this environment or to just accept it? Accepting it just makes these people bolder. Say someone steals my spot i was clearly going for. Asshole. I can let it go and move on with my life or confront them. I get the worst case scenario and they shoot at me but miss and hit someone else. Dude it happens, it literally happens.
Now of fucking course I didn't make them pull that trigger, but I did set that chain of events in motion by not letting trivial shit go. Any it would haunt me until my dying day. Right, wrong, irrelevant. My choice to engage directly led to a tragedy.

Does that make sense? I also find it ironic that this is exactly how I was taught to think in therapy lol. "What's the worst that could happen if you confront a stranger?" And I'm a much more mellow person for it. Cemeteries are full of mf who died over the principle of something trivial.

Just an example. I'm "miserable" because people make the world miserable. I grow less and less tolerant of assholes as I age. It's a struggle to not just tell pieces of shit I deal with at work to fuck off and die, but I like being able to pay my bills until I move to a job with far less human interaction. As I've said paradoxically several times before, I hate human beings but I really wish we could all help each other. Everyone could fuck off if we were all comfortable.

The solution is to either simply return the cart and apologize or just drive away and if the bumper sticker is on your car remove it outside of the car park.

So a similar thing was posted in a DoorDash driver FB group I post in. Lady mentioned that she finished shopping at a grocery store, was too far away from a cart corral, so she left it out as you do from time to time. A guy saw her do that and proceeded to scream at her and call her a fat fucking bitch and such.

The general consensus was that the guy was over-the-top and the accosting was unnecessary, but she was also appropriately roasted by the FB group in general for her total cluelessness and callousness in doing a shitty thing by leaving the cart out.

1 lady defended her, but she was also appropriately roasted, fortunately.
