- Games always seem to try and hide them in places and try to surprise attack you with em
- Also more often than not they're given heightened senses to try and detect you, especially in stealthy games
- Feels bad when you kill them and they let that high pitched death cry ;(

Same. This is one of the many reasons why I liked MGS3. I would just tranq them and be on my way. Whereas with humans I could tranq them, set them up on the mountain edge then blast them off with a shotgun or c4 lol

Animals are stupid and don't have nearly the sense of reasoning and morality that we do. Same reason why someone really, genuinely, beyond-moral-understanding insane goes to a psych facility instead of prison.

I hate the whine/screech that plays when you kill them. I try to avoid fighting them in just about any game they can be enemies.

This. With the addition of being way more desensitized to seeing humans die and get killed in entertainment. But mostly what Guide said.

I don't really like them as enemies, but it never bothered me killing them in games. I usually do use the non-lethal methods of taking enemies out if it's available, though.

I teach Calm to basically all of my Skyrim characters just so I don't have to kill the dogs in bandit camps.

Dogs almost never have any good loot/drops/XP

But yeah, it feels bad to make a stealth kill or sniping a dog. Not so much when theyre charging at you snarling and biting.
