TTG is another example of being too overly silly and dumb (almost all the characters behave the same for some reason), but also has some decent laughs from its "meta" jokes. With that said, I don't necessarily dislike the art style. Adventure Time was game changing for its animation style, because before then everyone was using the thick line style that you saw in nickolodean and cartoon network shows. Adventure Time's art style gave a lot more freedom in what they can do with the art style that some jokes worked because of its flexibility (figuratively and literally).
