Thought about including Celeste Inpax's suicide or Diego Armando's poisoning, but I don't think those were ever brought to court. Hopefully I didn't forget any! --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

DL-6 is just such an instant classic in so many ways. Nothing has really lived up to it since.
Though, I will give a shoutout to the class trial. I always loved that piece of backstory connecting Phoenix, Larry, and Edgeworth. --- I feel completely refreshed. Like I just put on fresh underwear on New Year's Day. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah, DL-6 is hard to top. It's just so well constructed without being overly convoluted like most of these tend to be.
I'd probably vote the Khura'in fire second. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I haven't played half the games on today's list, but they would have to be REALLY impressive to top DL-6.

"Don't forget DL-6!"
Like, let's put it in this perspective: IS-7 manages to remain relevant for 3 consecutive cases, but DL-6 manages to singlehandedly set the tone for an entire case, do it well, and well remain relevant for three consecutive games. 3-5 has an important plot point that calls directly back to DL-6. The case is again referenced in AAI. It has a lingering effect that isn't only localized to it's one game. Even if you judge it only on it's one case, it has a strong case for number one, before you even factor in that no other "background case" has anywhere near the lasting relevance, or meaning, of DL-6. --- So a planet's somewhere out there, their history the same as ours is written. i instinctively rooted for ss-5 and don't regret it
DL-6 might be the objectively correct answer though --- yet all azuarc of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness ... Copied to Clipboard!
