It was always pretty janky. The awkward controls were part of the horror atmosphere, or something like that.

It controls very well imo

on PC the controls are really smooth, honestly. i don't remember having many issues with them on console either, but i was used to tank controls by then.

i mostly mean it just seems buggy. i've skipped several enemies unintentionally, including the chainsaw dude at the beginning. kinda kills the vibe of the village scene tbh.

Are you playing at 60fps? If so, there's one spot that's gonna be more of a pain in the ass. It's the part where you're on the minecart and the rails end and you have to climb up. At 60fps, you'll have to press the button in the quick time event twice as fast as normal.
