I just used this exact wording to describe Billy Madison to someone, but am now wondering if it would be more applicable to something like Happy Gilmore where he's not quite as cartoonish but still very silly and doing his over-the-top-angry shtick.

Latter day Adam Sandler and early Adam Sandler are two entirely different people.
Billy Madison is more evocative of his early comedy than Happy Gilmore though imo ... Copied to Clipboard!
