On the flip side how amazing of a reveal would it be when people are losing faith in the hero when they hit a wall they are having a hard time overcoming when it's revealed his only power is healing and all of the miraculous stuff they've pulled off thus far is something ANYONE could do, but dont out of fear of danger. So it would be hard to have that alone as the hook. You could do a Wolverine or Last of Us thing where your characters ability creates conflict because other people want it, maybe. You could add a limiting condition to the ability, like can only heal when exposed to direct sunlight or something. Or have the ability be part of a wider condition, like if your character was undead, which would give you more tools to play with. In this case, I could argue Wolverine's 'main power' is his retractable claws, not his healing factor. Deadpool's 'main power' is cracking stupid jokes while being an exceptional swordsman and marksman, not his healing factor. I could also say Hulk's main power is his healing factor then. I think the main point is you really dont see Superman or hulk get visibly injured very often.
