So, we see the whole crew through cameras, at all times. What if these Cameras were actually part of the enterprise security system and we only saw some of them. They're at all sorts if angles with obvious zoom capabilities. And each and every member has a Voluntary Security Implant.

These Implants (also know as VSI) are actually Anal Taser Implants (ATI). When their work quota isnt met a medium shock is sent to their anus, reminding then of how important their work is.

I Imagaine after 1-3 shocks everyone would stay in line, and do their work. This would explain why they seem to he working at all times; they're afraid if anal shocks.

Nobody in Starfleet is alienated from their labor. It's a voluntary org requiring vetting training and an academy and the people aboard a ship like the Enterprise, REALLY want to be there. Wherever they came from probably already had replicators and all the luxuries you could demand.

Also there's tons of scenes in Ten Forward the bar, or off-planet vacation shenanigans, etc. They have giant pleasure rooms that can imitate any scenario. There's multiple episodes where the whole premise is Picard playing out hard-boiled detective novels. And they play Poker.

Why didn't Barclay's ATIs work when he was off galavanting in absurdist fantasies on the holodeck?

You have to keep a ship in ship shape so they wouldn't need a reason to beyond not wanting serious and possibly dangerous issues.

The whole reasons secure doors open for people, is because if their ATI that read off their Biometric data. Only certain people can go through certain doors because their ATI let's said door know is approaching.

Wait till Amazon find out about this.
