Why can shows rarely end well? I mean this was inevitable with the last few seasons, but still, come on.

The worst is when a good show gets put as a discovery plus exclusive. Like, wtf? I only watched the show since the beginning under the promise that it would be included under my cable service, which I pay for. Now Im supposed to pay twice to see something I already paid for? This is why Im probably canceling cable and all streaming services except for Amazon Prime, which gets me discounts. These companies work with each other to make you pay two and three times to watch movies and shows that you already rightfully paid for. Plus, my cable package has basically every good move as rent/buy. Pass. Good movie? Buy HBO max. Good show? Buy discovery plus. People are hurting from the pandemic and we are dealing with this hyper aggressive cash grab from every entertainment outlet. Of course the government loves it.

I'd say it's like 10-30% a good ending and then another 10-30% whose ending is "fine"

ending a show is hard, particularly if you have shitty writers who never plan out the consequences of anything

I finished season 5 and thought it ended p good. Haven't started season six tho because still mad about my favorite character Bachman not appearing in s5 at all.

Admittedly, I'm a sucker for everything turning out alright. I didn't like these endings though I also didn't hate them besides Bojack.

Breaking bad I don't remember why. El Camino I don't remember anything about also.

Silicon Valley's last season felt rushed and ended on a cliffhanger.

Bojack spoilers not just the end. I also can't remember it very well so I'm probably missing reasons.
Bojack's decision to let Sara Lynn die didn't ring true with his character and it didn't benefit him in anyway. I don't remember them explaining why Bojack did it. The show had Whitewhale tell us that murder was legal for the rich yet somehow Bojack goes to jail.

Todd acts like he's so superior to Bojack after Todd had sold his kidney which almost killed his mother. It was played for laughs so Todd is not someone who made a shitty mistake.

Yeah that was really underwhelming. Really the last several seasons were bad. Comparable to Game of Thrones.
