This whole Gaetz thing is unraveling into a big mess and IMO there are a lot of Florida political elite that are going to be involved or go down for some of this or other things that are barely related. On Thursday a new name popped up as someone the FBI is targeting. That person is deeply involved in the republican party, the DeSantis admin, and politics here. He resigned from a major agency a few months ago citing heath reasons but it didn't make sense to a lot of people. Then yesterday a very established and well known lobbyist resigned from Ballard Partners, which is the most powerful and respected lobbying firm here (they are a major play federally too). Both of these people were connected to Gaetz directly, or to people that worked around Gaetz. It sounds like Gaetz and Greenburg were involved in a lot of dirty things and there may be a lot going on with the FBI that isn't making news yet. I'm kind of expecting this story to be much bigger than just Gaetz. Then yesterday a very established and well known lobbyist resigned from Ballard Partners, which is the most powerful and respected lobbying firm here (they are a major play federally too). Both of these people were connected to Gaetz directly, or to people that worked around Gaetz. It sounds like Gaetz and Greenburg were involved in a lot of dirty things and there may be a lot going on with the FBI that isn't making news yet. I'm kind of expecting this story to be much bigger than just Gaetz.
