Brain death essentially equals dead. I totally understand people holding onto hope earlier, wishing things could be different, but as soon as he was medically declared brain dead and on life support I knew he had 0% chance of survival. RIP Earl, as a rapper you were a interesting entertainer at the very least.

I never met DMX but I knew his reputation by industry folks in the city I grew up in and no one had anything bad to say about him. He was kind, respectful, focused on others (maybe too much so, e.g one club manager story I heard) and amusingly talked how he rapped. I hope he finds or found internal peace as he's been struggling with addiction almost his entire life.
