Primary school yes, I went to an all boys school and things got rough at times. Though delinquents had to be on guard because we had mostly male teachers and they were strict. Act a fool and punishment was harsh. Secondary school no, I was actually pretty popular as a teenager despite being a weirdo. Looks carry you a long way at that age.

I was for a couple years when my family lived in a small Texas town for a while

I had a chip on my shoulder for a long time about it but I think it was just that I wasnt from there and they were a community that simply did not like people that were from somewhere else and different from them

I feel like most of high school was like the gaslighting kind of thing where people decided they didn't like me for some reason and pretending like something I was doing was the problem. Maybe I actually was a jerk but I don't know, I only ever felt like I was mean to people because they were mean to me first. I think it was a combination of my general awkwardness, being underdeveloped physically, people being jealous of my academic success, and people having a bunch of existing cliques they formed back in elementary/middle school whereas I came in with few friends. College was way cooler cause people were from all over the place and they might have had two or three people at most who went to high school with them. And also people are more or less through puberty by that point so you don't have to face the awkward spectrum of developmental stages.

I never knew of there being like a stereotypical stuff in lockers, take your lunch money bully in any of my schools

Yup, Mainly in Elementary////moved around alot so had to fight for 'Respect' (esp when living in the South) with having a non traditional 'American' name (it's ethnic and hard to pronounce for some)...but usually after awhile I warmed up to them...

In HS/College, I was well over 6ft by then and playing Sports, so I didn't get much **** from ppl

Not really until grad school. Turns out when you have a professional career youll work with a bunch of assholes. Gets worse the further you go in your career.

I could go to a smaller place and make more money for better hours with nicer people, but also its rewarding working with people famous in the field and also Im building some career capital for my next adventure.

Not really. I mean, some people called me short but I'd usually have some witty comeback or just talk crap back to them. It was mostly just friends talking shit to each other. I didn't really see much bullying at my high school. Movies that portrayed bullying always seemed greatly exaggerated in comparison to my own school experiences. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen, though.

it only took a few times, I'd either go to a teacher or fight back and my reputation lasted long after I got out of school.

In elementary school yes, twice at two different schools.. Both times lead to me getting into fist fights with the bully. Neither was bigger than me, I don't think either expected me to fight back. And both freaked out that they were going to get in trouble and both times I didn't care because frankly I was trying to get the faculty to actually care. They knew I was getting bullied, seen it every day, I said something multiple times. Nothing done about it. So I just started punching. Sure I got detention both times. But it was well worth it. I got my revenge, the bullying stopped, and I got the other kid in trouble. Win win win

There were attempts. One guy almost had his thumb broken, and promised never to try touching me again. I decked another one when they weren't expecting it, causing them to fall on the ground, before I shook my head and walked away.

It was just passive aggressive shit from friends at the time. Like they would exclude me from hanging out and such. Just dumb kids in middle school acting like dumb kids.

When I was in first grade one of the kids told me I wasn't allowed to play kickball with the rest of the class. I went to the same grade school as my sister who happened to be walking by and saw the kid giving me a hard time.
She was in 3rd grade and she pushed the kid up against a chain link fence and stared at him and said "... I heard you're not letting Drek play kickball huh? ....you're gonna let him play aren't you?"

The kid was freaked out and just said yes and ran away.
I didn't go play kickball with them because I didn't want to play with people that didn't like me, but what my sis did was pretty cool.

Were you ever bullied back when you were in school?
I quit going to school in 7th grade and was eventually put in foster care because of it.

Not since I started standing up for myself and fought back. Being a rather solitary individual I don't encounter much need to do so any more.

I don't really asssociate with others. Even before doing so became a thing that's regulated by the government.

In elementary and middle school, yes. In 8th grade I fought back against my bullies and so throughout high school I wasn't really "bullied" per-say, just ignored. Well, except for the time after Columbine where someone thought it would be funny to tell the guidance counselor that I was looking up how to make bombs in my programming class. That was a fun time until my teacher had to basically tell them "no, he wasn't and I have the browser history to prove it".

Yes and it carried on into my home life. Name calling at school was the main thing. It died down a bit when I cared less and actually retaliated. It was never physical. Home life though I got the name calling and vandalism to my dads home and cars.

any of you still bullied?

Nope. Thankfully I don't put up with anyones bullshit anymore. Mostly because the older I get the less I care about most things.

Yes, though it was tolerable until my 4th grade teacher decided to join in on it and encourage it. After that most days became school lessons in public humiliation until I moved to a different town.

In Elementary school by a kid that was himself bullied for not being smart, kinda messy and overweight. Worst he did was pinch my nose till I had a nosebleed (I got them easy) and threw my hat in a puddle. He became a nice guy though.

Middle school was pretty rough. That's when homosexual slurs got big. And just ridiculous small judgement things.

High school wasn't bad until my last year. I fell in with some girls who treated me horribly. Some guys too. Got called f***** every day. Put up with it for a few years for no good reason. Couldn't mention my emotions without being abused.

Was even bullied a few years ago at the age of 26 in a similar way in a workplace. I got that guy fired however. Nobody's going to waste my time with that BS anymore.
