Yes, it's just a bunch of clips from the first 24 episodes. There is no reason to watch it unless you haven't seen the series in awhile. Most of the clips are from the later episodes, like 21-24.

Episode 19. Holy f*** the Evas are terrifying. What an amazing episode. Evangelion doesnt have the most amazing animation in the world but this episode was hauntingly beautiful, it really made the most of its resources. The last couple episodes have really been making me appreciate Kaji, I like his cool-headedness and his profound dialogue. Shinjis emotions were powerful to watch as well. That being said, I think episode 18 wouldve been more powerful if Suzuhara actually died

22 was good, pretty dark, and I love the angelic music during Asuka breaking down in her Eva. Episodes like 19-24 were all fantastic, gonna go watch Death (True) now to recap the series thus far, and then finish the last 2 episodes.

Great anime, but the pacing is a weak point for sure.

i lost interest in the series when i heard that the creators admitted that they were just throwing random bullshit to make it sound mysterious and creepy

Death and Rebirth is unnecessary and are just recaps and the first half of EoE.

I really want to watch this, but not on Netflix where i heard they edited the music

Episodes 25 and 26 work well as an epilogue, but not an actual ending. I feel like I missed the climax and went straight to the resolution. Im assuming End Of Eva is going to fill in the blanks. A lot of threads are still unresolved
