It happened at Mahanoy Area School District where she sent messages to her friends as the sophomore later successfully sued the district over the decision to kick her off the team arguing she shouldn't have been punished for speech that occurred outside school hours It will be the subject of a Supreme Court case later this month that will test the boundaries of free speech for students and school discipline This will be the first of its kind and will determine if they can discipline students for speech made off campus Brandi failed to make the varisty team back then as he showed her holding up the middle finger with f* school, softball, cheer, everything. We've all had those moments where we've said "fuck this shit" or "I fucking hate this school/job" or "I wish you'd go jump in a fucking hole" or something brash, rash, or ill-thought out. Doesn't mean you deserve to be kicked out of school for it. Sometimes you need those thoughts so you can work through them. Does that mean you should necessarily work through them in 'public' on social media? No but that's the name of the game atm. We need to offer some level of privacy protection for kids/teens.
