Can't wait for all these lawsuits from Dominion and the Capitol go to discovery. Hope it isn't sealed.

Sue him for what exactly again? They were already planning to riot before he began his speech. Maybe these were the officers who outright let people inside the capital lol.

You realize that the fact that they were planning to attack makes his speech even more damning?

Dominion ones are awesome.

Voting machines are unreliable, and a threat to our free elections!

*gets sued for $1.6B.

Just kidding.

It wont be considered frivolous and tossed, but it wont take unless the judge uses political bias in their ruling.

I've gotta say, of all the mental gymnastics surrounding Trump's insane tantrums, some of my favourite examples have got to be the people trying to figure out some way that Dominion doesn't have a rock-solid defamation case against his administration.

did they even suffer damages for what he said? that's an important part of winning a defamation case

Not necessarily. You can negotiate a value on a damaged reputation due to defamation.

Not at all. You can absolutely make projections of damages and sue based on that, provided the projections are reasonable.

Kraken bitch is trying to argue that her beliefs are so absurd no reasonable individual could possibly believe them, while also arguing that she 100% believes them and the arguments she made in court because she is also fighting to keep from being disbarred while this is going on.

Dominion DOESN'T have a case, let alone a rock-solid one. They're alleging that they lost business as a result of Trump, yet that hasn't been the case. They're suing under some vague hypothetical maybe future incident which can't be quantified.

That's not even getting into the larger issue where you have organizations like Dominion, Planet Aid, and Murray Energy using lawsuits to silence the press.
