Here's the thing about a "lethal amount" of drugs: a "lethal amount" for a first time user is breakfast for a habitual user. Everyone's physiology is different, I've never liked the term and shit like this is why.

and fentanyl kills you pretty much instantly if you OD on it, its not gonna be in your system for hours and then suddenly turn lethal

Another thing that amazed me was Dr. Martin Tobin using math to figure out what George Floyd's carbon dioxide level would have been if he stopped breathing at X time and was measured at Y time... Then he arrived at the exact number that was measured. Then you can see him realize that was the exact number after the fact, lol.

Nope. A lawyer is only as good as their education and what they have to work with. Neither of which are great in this case, all he can do is hope for "reasonble doubt" (in this case said juror would need to be below the average intellegence level of an adult or just flat out racist) and push for a mistrial. He has nothing all he can do is try do delay justice.

He asked a bunch of nonsense questions that had nothing to do with the witness testimony. Like just not be asked "is it possible to die from low oxygen as a result of fentanyl" right after testifying for like 20 minutes about the fentanyl had no effect on floyd's breathing.

So the toxicologist said that with typical fentanyl overdoses, they would expect to see either no or very little norfentanyl, but they found quite a bit in George Floyd's blood (I think, if around 5 ng/mm is a lot in this regard). Also further established that tolerance to a drug can lead to higher levels of it in someone's blood without it being fatal.

The defense had the biggest fucking deer in headlights today at the toxicologist.

Defense: "So this report is about fatal drug overdoses"

Witness: "No it's not"

Defense: "That's what it says."

Witness: "If it says that then I would have corrected it at some point"

The prosecution has been horrible so far. Chauvin will probably be acquitted, as he should be.

Huge amounts of fetanyl in Floyd's system, enough to kill someone 3 times over. Chauvin was doing what cops are trained to do...another angle showed that his knee was on the shoulder blade, and his weight was not directly pushing down on Floyd's neck.

Reasonable doubt.
