Seriously don't know what to do. I'm pretty sure Chief doesn't have enough ammo to just gun the hordes a wave at a time. But just running past them gets me destroyed. It's comical how these Flood things are waiting behind every wall and corner with goddamn shotguns to erase a big chunk of my health and shield.
My only other experience with Halo was 4. Believe it or not I had never seen the design of The Flood before playing this game --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

i found that swapping weapons frequently got me through the Library.

Use human weapons though. Covenant weapons suck against the flood.
Shotgun for the big guys and assault rifle for the little poppers always worked for me. If not shotgun, then pistol. And rockets and grenades of course. It stuck me on a checkpoint with the plasma pistol and plasma rifle so I have to backtrack every time to get real weapons

pretty much have to speedrun that level, I wouldnt bother trying to kill everything
