Not in particular, because Xbox knows better strategies to get people to buy their consoles than lock games behind it

Not that I know of, but I know there are games where the Series X is enhanced and then theres rumors that certain features in games will be next-gen only (like stadium creator in MLB The Show).

Just The Medium so far. With Flight Simulator in a couple of months.

Thanks to Game Pass they can't drop Xbox One like most other consoles. They want people to stay subscribed. Considering stock shortages probably not the worst time to have this tactic.

It's gonna be amusing in a few months when Nintendo announce exclusives for their new Switch and people get angry.

I think the most hilarious one was when Phil Spencer said something about Xbox being crossgen for the first year or whatever and Jim Ryan from Sony said they believed in generations. Sony fanboys went vicious over it.

Then it turned out that the majority of early PS5 exclusives were also crossgen and Sony just waited to announce that later.

Now this issue that was a big deal a year ago is barely talked about outside of the odd fanboy crossing their fingers that God of War Ragnarok won't have a PS4 version because that would somehow make their PS5 less enjoyable or something.

I have a series S cause games just aren't important enough to me to justify spending more than 250 on a machine. Series S and Gamepass scratches my gaming itch.

That's a whole lot of games...

PS5 has 4 in comparison. One of which is bundled with the system and the other was a PS+ game.

It has two more set for the rest of the year at least!

Console generation shifts aren't what they used to be. When AAA games take 3-5+ years to develop and are expensive it doesn't make sense to restrict them to new hardware. Even moreso in Xbox's case where they have an active subscription userbase that can cancel their subscription at anytime.

I'm purposely holding off on playing a lot of cross gen games like Fallen Order until I get the Series X. One of the big reasons being load times

It is pretty cool how you can play through a bunch of franchises on Xbox. You can play every single Splinter Cell game across both generations other than the shitty PSP one. Even then a PSP emulator works on Xbox lol.

In comparison I believe the longest running Playstation franchise you can play on PS4/PS5 the entire way through is Uncharted. I think that's the only one that has more than three games?

You can't play any PS3 games on the PS4 or PS5. They're also shutting down the PS3 store in a couple of months. So that's still way better than that.

Didn't say it was bad, my point in this topic is that series X and S have 90% cross gen games LOL and 2 maybe 3 current gen. You'd think being a current gen console that there would be more than 2 or 3 games for it.
