Yeah, the first shot just made my arm sore as hell for a couple of days.

The side effects I've heard about have all been from the second shot.

I got my first shot on Thursday in the morning.
My arm hurt like Hell if I raised my shoulder very high for the next 48 hours or so. Now I'm perfectly fine.

I have not gotten my second shot yet.

Usually the first shot is minor. Most don't get any side effects from the first shot other than a really sore arm (moving it around a lot really helps reduce the soreness) and fatigue. I couldn't lift weights for a day, and it took effect like 4-5 hours after the shot.

2nd shot, you might have to call in a day after. Be prepared. Not guaranteed, but you could get fever or the chills.

I had what felt like really bad flu and was bed ridden for a day but was fine after that and am aware that I just got unlucky.

Could depend on which one you get.

I got Pfizer yesterday, and second one comes 10th April

I did have the "Mild Flu Like Symptoms" afterwards, but Today ive just been really sore in the muscle that got pricked (Upper right arm, near the shoulder)

Its no more sore than if you fall directly on it, or ends up accidentally sleeping on it. I had a nasty stumble some months back where i landed on my arm (forgot which) that was worse, much worse, as i needed a good amount of painkillers after that one.

If i hadnt known id gotten it i would just think id slept wrong.

As for the prick itself. Shockingly easy, and barely noticed it. Not even remotely like getting a blood sample taken (ANd even thats not bad)

First shot for 80% protection, second one for the last 20, is what i heard yesterday.

IIRC scientists don't even know what it protects against, and they don't know how long it protects for. And they think it doesn't protect against all forms of covid-19

In the UK, it's anyone over 50 and who has a pre-existing health condition that makes them more vulnerable to Covid. I have epilepsy for example.

I got my first shot last Wednesday, and I only had minor arm soreness for a little over 24 hours. Otherwise I felt fantastic that afternoon/night.
