Each day I'll select 10 random characters from the Nintendo wiki (using https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Random ), and whichever gets the most votes gets a slot on B8's Smash Bros. roster

• Special exception: If the random page lands me on an obscure game that doesn't have a page for its characters, I'll just take the main character from that (or the closest thing I can find to a main character).
• Special exception #2: Sometimes RNG wants something that's not a character to be in the poll, and if that happens, so be it.

Today on deck we've got one more Xenoblader, two more Pokemon (one of which is fairly popular), a legendary samurai that people have asked to be added as a fighter for years, a not-Captain Falcon, two Dragalia Lost people (??), a character getting promoted from Villager's side-B, and Barbie.

• Rosetta Stone (Professor Layton and the Unwound Future) - Professor Layton, sure, but this? No.
• Barbie (Barbie Dreamhouse Party) - jesus why are you people doing this to me
• M65 Hunter Unit (Xenoblade Chronicles) - This seems better than most of the Xenos we've had so far!
• Gyroid (Animal Crossing)- Fuck yeah, 100%, I'd love to see this happen.
• Takamaru (The Mysterious Murasame Castle) - One of the most deserving and realistic choices we've had the whole contest so far. Already an assist trophy and a Mii Costume, just finish the job. In fact I thought for sure this would be the leader of this poll, but Barbie had to prove me wrong.
• Swellow (Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire) - not even top 3 generic bird pokemon
• Julietta (Dragalia Lost) - What is Dragalia Lost and why does it keep showing up?
• Steelix (Pokemon Gold/Silver) - Probably the best Pokemon option we've had so far imo; I wouldn't mind at all.
• Super Arrow (F-ZERO) - I'll take any second F-ZERO rep at this point
• Patia (Dragalia Lost) - Seriously what is Dragalia Lost

If the Gyroid has references to the other types of gyroids, either in his moveset or as playable costumes, then I'd pay money for that.

Takamaru really should have been added to Ultimate. The lack of a retro newcomer on the base roster was very conspicuous, and Takamaru would have been the ideal pick for that role.
