weight loss is 90% CICO.

mind your portions and eat whatever the fuck you want. Supplement hunger with very low calorie veggies, water, and/or caffeine.

If there's some bacon or similar pork stuff in the mix, good macro ratio.

This is the same guy who said avocado and nuts are unhealthy. Don't listen to him.

What makes anything healthy or unhealthy is the portion, outside of something that is literally harmful like a razor blade or poison or rancid meat or something.

Cookies can be fucking "healthy", and brown rice with grilled chicken breast can be "unhealthy". If you're starving, ANYTHING with calories is good for you.

Contextualize the healthiness of any food with the following criteria:
- does it contribute to my daily goal of calories, protein, carbs, fats, vitamins, minerals, and fiber
- will it not cause harm
- Can I honor the portion I've allowed for myself

For me, the third point is a mess. Like, I don't have ice cream around the house because I know I can't usually have just a few spoonfuls and I'm likely to binge.

I didn't say "eat however much you want". The dose makes the poison. It's possible to lose weight eating only twinkies. CICO.

This is fucking ridiculous, eating a spoonful of mayo doesn't make mayo a healthy food because you only ate a spoonful. What the fucking fuck is this fucking

I'm still not sure what refried beans even are. I tend to soak and boil beans which tastes much better and has better texture, basically means that I can add beans in almost every meal for those great nutrients and fiber content.

Mayo is mostly fat, 85% unsaturated and 15% saturated. At 14g, you get about 100 calories

what's the problem with mayo? An avocado has a similar fat profile. To its merit, avocado has a dabble of protein, also with some fiber and vitamin C. So combine the mayo with a fistful of spinach and it's pretty much the same.

You're not going to get the nutrients you need eating "whatever you want" and the unhealthy shit is always filled with empty calories.

It's why so many people on diets end up hungry.

Well, genetics are a huge factor, straight away.
You need a good balance of protein, fats, and carbs. You want unsaturated fats and fiber more so than saturated fats and sugar.
Eating foods whole is good: if a fruit or veggie has an edible skin, be sure to eat it, because thats where the fibers going to be.
You also want to be eating a rainbow of fruit and veggies and getting a wide range of vitamins and minerals. Not every meal needs to be complete, thats more of a big picture thing.

beans are good because they are very nutritious and contains a lot of fiber, this helps for satiety which is usually the issue with overweight people, ideally the more plant based whole food you eat the easier it is to keep your calorie count down while feeling nourished, keep it mind that Oil is processed so it doesnt count as whole food

that is not true, plenty of food nowadays that the optimal consumption amount is zero, less of it makes it less damageable, it doesnt suddenly make it healthy at least not from a physiological standpoint, you may have an argument when it comes to mental health if anything but even then its a stretch imho

empty calories are acceptable for consumption so long as their intake is contextualized with whatever else you're consuming that day. They're not unhealthy, at the very least, with this caveat.

Quite often when the question "is XXX healthy?" its translates to "Is it okay to eat XXX", not "Is it ideal to eat XXX".

Telling an obese person they should eat whatever they want is absolutely goofy. Low calorie (but filling and nutrient dense) foods over calorie dense food that don't fill you up and leave you wanting more.

Yeah, empty calories are straight up bad, as are foods with poor nutritional profiles in general. Their consumption should be minimized.
I'm talking stuff like soda, TV dinners, potato chips, deep-fried stuff, etc. Just awful for you: eat no more than once in a blue moon.
