Honestly I wouldn't even have gotten the PS5 so soon if my PS4 Pro didn't break like the POS it is

Series X was from Gamestop and PS5 was from Walmart

Pseudo-open world with side quests that don't really benefit you outside of upgrading Jack, except Jack is rarely needed for actual combat anyway

And the story tries so hard to make you hate JD even though me and a friend who played through the entire series up to that point thought he did nothing wrong

I've had both XSX and PS5 since December (and PS5 since November).

Series X is the better console. Full stop.

I still prefer PlayStation exclusives, but frankly this is the first generation ever where I can definitively say that one console is straight-up better than another.

Even in the early days of the PS3, when it was mostly just a meme for being overpriced and under-performing, I could recommend it for people who were ready to jump into BLU-RAY or had a TV with HDMI.

Yeah that's pretty much how I feel too lol

The PS5 tries too hard to feel next-gen IMO, from the physical design to the menus (that still aren't quite as good as the refined Series X menus)

I'm still glad to experience some PS4 games for the first time, but it barely feels worth $500 in comparison to the Series X, let alone a scalped price lol

One of the biggest problems with PS5 is that Sony can't figure out whether or not they want a firm break with previous generations or to go Microsoft's route with tightly integrated backwards-compatibility, so instead we have this weird-ass middle-ground where the OS is all-new but buggy and irrationally designed (unlike Series X using a highly refined XOne interface), and backwards compatibility with PS4 is pretty good but gets extremely complicated when dealing with cross-gen titles.

The one positive thing I can say for the PS5 is this - Astro's Playroom is legitimately amazing. In my opinion, it's the finest and most enjoyable piece of software Sony has put out in years.

I got both around launch to. Play exclusives on the ps5 and everything else on the series X. I've been playing new games non stop since launch trying out games with enhancements and such.

Mostly game on the series X also everything runs better, what TV are you using TC?.

A 43" 4K Samsung I got with my One X back in 2017

No 120hz but I also didn't spend a grand like my dumb stoner friend did

Games still look noticeably better between the two systems
