I did a huge order to refill all my spices. I do this annually to keep them fresh.

I also added a bunch of oils, vinegars, sauces, and other staples. We want to get into instant pot cooking and got a cookbook. I ordered everything recommended.

Well it came yesterday morning. And then they called me to say they forgot to deliver a bag. Ok cool. I didnt really go through everything to double check. They dropped off a bag last night.

I am going through them now and just realized they gave me a whole copy of one of the bags. I now have copies of a shit ton of spices, hoisin sauce, bouillon. I had splurged and bought white truffle oil and got a second bottle of that.

They didnt charge me for any of it. Not only that, but they refunded $12 for 3 spices they said were missing. But I actually have 2 copies of each now.

I dont even know what to do with all this lmao.

They dont go bad in the sense that you will get sick. But they lose their taste and freshness over time. I love to cook a lot and like to keep my spices fresh for better flavor.

since you can't return any of it and keeping it doesn't make much sense if you can't use it before it goes bad ... maybe give it away? idk if food pantries take spices.

Pressure cook them with meat and vegetables.

It's like slow cooking, but takes a fraction of the time and you don't lose any flavour.

Hmm so I actually have one copy of each of the 3 spices they missed. They came in the second bag with all the copies. I wonder if they just meant to send those 3 and something just went horribly wrong lmao

No clue. Those werent a replacement but something the cookbook recommended getting for the recipes. I plan on making sesame beef this week. Guess Ill be making a lot of it lol
