Even so, films like BlackKklansman, Detroit, and Judas the Black Messiah honestly don't have to reach very far to make a point. At least in terms of how government and law enforcement responds, relatively little has changed since the era which saw Malcolm X, Dr. King, and Fred Hampton assassinated.
