They feel like an artifact of earlier times where games market demand need really something to appeal to horny teenagers (and i was one during that time too)

Nowadays, i believe videogame are more mature medium that can safely disregard such demand for such things. Hell, change the armor design to something more practical like in mass effect 1 instead of the skinsuits the women wears in 2 and 3

I mean, I noticed "Wow, Mirandas ass is pretty blatant" and promptly never thought of it again. I suppose I would side with people who wanted to take it out if push came to shove but geez.

Exactly. I mean why would I bother talking to Miranda now if I can't stare at her ass? They need to have three options instead.

Original - All cutscenes and conversations are how they originally were.
Edited - All cutscenes and conversations take the focus off the naughty bits.
Ass Effect - All cutscenes and conversations for every character focuses on their ass at all times for the entire game.

Like I said, it was blatant, but it wasn't a detriment or a benefit to me enjoying the game either, and I didn't really think about it outside of the initial "Well then." Certainly not enough to demand it be removed in a remake 20 years later. If your first thought after 20 years was about Miranda's ass, maybe you're the problem.

As far as it being juvenile, of course it was. You play a super soldier in space who fights giant sentient spaceships.

I think romancing Tali is the only way you can see what the Quarians look like without their masks

on one hand, the sex scenes and awkward clothed humping can be done away with, but some romance storyline actually bring something the character's arc. like thane's from ME 2 or even garrus.

just make sex scene fade to black but keep the romance.
