i guess this is as good a place as any

so i've been talking to this girl for a long while now, some hot and heavy stuff, like she'd randomly say how much she wanna kiss me all over, newds were exchanged etc etc.
we live far apart, and we talked about me coming over to see her over New years, but then the Corona second wave happened, so that fell through

and then, all the lovey dovey talk sort of just stopped, and when i try to initiate, i'd just get one word responses.
when i brought it up, she says it's not me, it's her mental health being fucky. (she has Bipolar and a few other things)

on the one hand, i don't want it to end, but on the other, i refuse to be the "plz respond" guy
i've never really been in this situation before, and it's fucking with my head

we still talk regularly, but not like we used to anymore

trying to resist generalizing here, but in my personal experiences, this is usually the truth. Even my girlfriend of the past year and a half has days, sometimes even a full week, where she's just completely drained of energy. Doesn't wanna go out, doesn't wanna talk, etc.

But once the episode passes, she'll be right back to normal and everything is fine.

Thing is, if you're not actively in a relationship with her, she might just view you as a source of stress and won't go out of her way to get back in touch even if she's in a better mood.

Don't initiate a first text at night. Before 6 pm for sure. You need to give her time to see it and respond. If she sees it, thinks she'll reply later and goes to bed...there's a chance she'll judt forget it in the morning

Sorry to hear this topic creator, sadly this is just how it is for a man who is dating in the current year. Try to just not give a shit and go on as many dates as you can as maybe 1 in 5 will message you back, and maybe 1 in 10 gets past a 3rd date.

Shit sucks but this is how it is, you can play the game or not, its just a rough game for men.
