Because the people who are actually in charge of our country are too afraid to acknowledge the reality of climate change, and she's one of the voices who actually DOES want to address it

If your response to her points isn't to acknowledge anything she says but only ever "why should I listen to you" then you're playing into the hands of the industries and politicians who would love her to shut up so they can live out the last 20 years of their lives under the status quo without anybody rocking the boat.

I more meant to question what she thinks could possibly be done about it in the two months since inauguration day and with a congress that can't agree on what kind of pizza to order for lunch.

Lol no

Most people are pretending that America is the sole contributor and that domestic changes are enough to combat climate change.

Reality is that this is a lot like covid. Every country has its own rules and regulations, but we all share the same planet that is effected by that. Sort of like how covid regulations varied by city, county, and state. It's something, but if there's different rules in different areas with people traveling between then it can only help so much.

You really need a unified response

So like we're basically screwed, but we're gonna try not to be.
