What you have here is a segment of the population who do not want to consume the product and they also do not want it available to anyone else. Instead of not buying the product (AKA voting with your wallet), theyve decided for everyone else what is acceptable, much like the Puritans of old. If they could get away with doing more than a constant barrage of social media threats, Im sure they would. In fact, its a similar type of loudmouths whove made it possible to involve the government in punishing comedians, for example, in Canada and other places.

I don't think this really can be considered cancel culture because this isn't one screw up from years and years ago that somebody decided to dig up. This has been ongoing current behavior. Disney only decided to let Gina go after giving her multiple chances, but she chose not to listen. This is a case of someone shooting themselves in the foot numerous times.

This pretty much happens in any workplace. If someone did something that their boss didn't approve of and was told to stop and they continued to do thing specific thing multiple times, their ass would be fired.
