I'm doing my playthrough with Fl4k now, using Fade Away and the Scag pet. Not sure if that's ideal, since the augments are in two separate trees.

Already have max versions of everyone else.

Amara: Phaselock, the AoE thing, cryo damage.

Moze: Exploding machine gun, lock-on rockets.

Zane: Clone (don't remember the augs off-hand) and Drone (Cryo bullets and rocket launcher that isn't set to a button).

From what I understand I'm using exactly the wrong Zane stuff, but I'm pretty bad with the cannon.

Zane is fun as fuck and he's probably my favorite personality-wise.

Just an old dude who has already seen everything (twice) and ran out of fucks to give some time back in the 70's.

Plus the skill that gives your clone your weapon is busted. I just toss a Hellwalker on him and watch everything explode.

I used Zane with the clone and drone a long time ago (pretty much stopped playing around the time the Hammerlocke DLC came out) and it was great. Specifically with the class mod from the Handsome Jack DLC that let's you proc his kill skills by dealing damage. IDK how well it holds up these days though since I only got back into it a few weeks ago and that was only with Moze.

She was my favorite until they nerfed her (and some of the weapons I liked using with her like the Butcher) into the ground long ago, after which I started to main Zane. Thankfully from what I've played recently she seems strong again.

Iron Bear is a force to be reckoned with again.

I like to hit up Atlas HQ to get all the chests at M10 with no risk, and I try to fight the notPower Rangers every time.

Moze was the ONLY character I had who could pull it off.

Might be better now that I have some big boy weapons. Big thanks to @MrKapowski

I really liked playing Moze with all the stuff for infinite ammo, ignoring iron bear completely, when bl3 came out

Clone builds with zane are good for small enemies, but if you want real damage against single targets spec dome shield and turret

thats what i preferred anyways. Id post my exact build but i havent played in forever

Also I just discovered that if you put the Flames paint job on an Outrunner it turns your horn into a shredding guitar solo.

I'm using Fadeaway and the Fire Spiderant now.

Fadeaway works REALLY well with my love of Jakobs.

I have a Garcia that kills half a dozen people with every shot during the skill.

Tried out Rakk Attack and didn't get much out of it.

There's nothing wrong with Clone and Drone Zane.

With Boom Enhance the and the capstone that gives a copy of the gun you hold to the Clone it can crank out ridiculous amounts of damage. As for augments to the Clone, IIRC I usually went with 'cryo novas on swap' and 'damage to the clone recharges your shields'; but would swap the latter out for 'detonate the clone early to refund cooldown' for team games.

For the Drone I believe I did 'radiation beam' and 'rocket pods'. Since Zane's damage scales with his movement speed the radiation beam of the Drone just makes him that much faster; and provides the chance for radiation corpse explosion chains.

For zane max out braine freeze and get calm cool collected. This way, you can have the clone out indefinitely so long as you can hit criticals. That's basically the only requirement for him, otherwise do anything else with skills

Well, you have the basics of Fade Away: biggest Jakobs shottie you can find, richochet all the pellets.

If you're wanting to focus on Fade Away and big burst damage then you don't need much from the Skag's Master tree: extended Action Skill time and gun damage, a few points in pet damage to unlock tier 2, Frenzy for a Damage multiplier(works best with the Jabber Specialist since he has an SMG that fills stacks with one burst), and perhaps a pity point in Psycho on Stick since it is a 'Hunter Skill'.

Most of Fl4k's personal damage comes from the Hunter tree. So you'll definitely want to make your way to the capstone. He has several class mods that support that as well, such as the Cosmic Stalker(can come with weapon type and/or Brand bonuses too, if you wanted to crank up shotgun damage, for example).

Currently at that weird point where I unlocked a tier (second to last) but can't put a point in until next level.
