So Wanda really is gonna be the reason that mutants get introduced to the MCU isnt it, like shes gonna go crazy next episode and dispel the hex around the world or something - also interesting they finally called her the Scarlett witch - did they not name her as part of the Fox deal?

is there some previous instance of "the scarlet witch" being a mythological figure in the comics before Wanda Maximoff?

I feel like there's a lot left to be wrapped up in just 1 more episode, even if it's an hour long.

Agatha not actually being involved in the creation of the Hex is kinda surprising but does make more sense.

I was expecting the secret character the cast talked about to show up at the end of this one, but still nothing so I have no idea who that's going to be. Bettany said they share multiple scenes so it can't be some post credit cameo next week.

Looks like everyone was right who figured they were going to make it that the Mind Stone just awoke Wanda's dormant powers. Dunno if they're actually mention mutant genes or whatever, since I think they retconned her being a mutant in the comics at some point anyway?

(And I'm gonna be mad if they actually don't have real Quicksilver show up at any point lol)

They weren't trying to, it was a ruse to set Wanda off. In the end credit scene Hayward says they took him apart and put him back together a million times.

Well you gotta figure that if it happened to Wanda, then surely the same thing must have happened to Pietro. They explained that before Wanda, none of the other subjects were capable of handling the Mind Gem's power. Plus, Agatha pretty much said the words "spontaneous creation" so.....mutants.

And speaking of, we also learned that Agatha was not responsible for the creation of Fake Pietro, she just controls him. Meaning it had to have been Wanda somehow.

it seems silly that such fundamental forces of existence could ever even be destroyed. i think they need to not be the focus for a while, but i will not mind at all if their destruction is only temporary.

We read about them in textbooks in stuff and I'm sure that in their world there have been news reports, interviews and even books written about their adventures. It's the craziest thing that's ever happened in the history of their universe after all. They might even have a movie adaptation of it lol

You realize that people have been living for 5 years after Thanos snapped everyone. Also, Darcy is such a high ranking scientist that she was one of SWORD's first calls for The Hex. At that level you would generally be clued into some shit, especially an event caused by a cosmic being.

The whole sequence from Wanda driving through West View to her sitting down with Vision was utterly heartbreaking.

Scarlet Witch was in the credits for Ultron, so it seems there were at least some rights to the name.

I have to imagine that after half the population of the entire universe stopped existing all sorts of extensive investigations, hearings, interviews, etc happened regarding the event and those closest to it.

People's opinion of this show is going to turn fast if the final episode doesn't wrap up all the mysteries that fans keep wishing for in xmen or fantastic 4. Which is a shame, since the acting has been great and the writing generally well. Just people setting themselves up for impossible expectations.

Honestly, this had crossed my mind. The Vision we have been watching is clearly not the one SWORD has and if Vision is made up of Jarvis, Ultron and the Mind Stone and the Vision in The Hex is made up of Jarvis and the Mind Stone what does that leave left for the Vision SWORD controls?

Yeah, I'm betting that's what Bettany meant as well. I'm all for being surprised and it's actually someone cooler, but I don't see it being the case by this point.

Between this, the aerospace engineer, and Evan Peters, a lot of people are going to write the show off as being bad because they made up their own expectations and hurt their own feelings when they didn't happen lol.

Well, it def showed us her making Vision with her powers. Her kids being made the same way would be likely, but she also seemed surprised by herself getting pregnant iirc, and she didn't seem to be using her powers (outside of passively keeping the town trapped) in the scene they were conceived, so they might throw a curveball still surrounding their origins.

But yeah, each episode feels like it raises more questions the more it answers.

After this episide I think I've figured out a little bit of Marvels' secret formula.

The Feige-ster is clever enough not to make things too convoluted. The MCU does get wacky, especially as the movies and shows go on because of the characters and magic and space stuff starts to come in to what used to be standard superhero fare, but: it doesn't get convoluted when you compare a lot of the theories out there about Mephisto, or the mutants/X-Men, or the multiverse, or Dr Strange or the Fantastic Four showing up. All of these things can and at some point probably will happen, but they keep their individuals stories, like the main plot of WandaVision, relatively simple for effective drama, and then just fill in the edges with all the Marvel flavour and easter eggs to keep fans happy and give themselves more to work with as they keep sprinkling things in.

I guess it seems obvious when I type it out, but I guess my point is people's theories, which I always enjoy reading, are usually not correct because it's almost always the more simple solution, while still keeping people happy with all the juicy tidbits, like reference the Nexus/Nexus beings for example.

It reminds me of the Russo brothers (I think) talking about how they almost put The Living Tribunal in Infinity War but decided against it because it would be too confusing for your average viewer. But because they put in things like certain Dr Strange spells, the infinity stones, and the re-appearance of characters like Red Skull, almost no one leaves unsatisfied even if they weren't correct about the Cosmic being becoming involved, or Mistress Death, or whatever other theories they had. Same with Civil War, which people had a lot of theories about.

On a different note, I like how last episode ended with "Agatha All Along," and then this episode spent its entire time showing that, no, it still was Wanda behind everything lol. The Hex and all of this is still 100% her fault.

All Agatha did was cause some mildly inconvenient shenanigans around town in order to stress Wanda out.
