Sonic still has fans? lol?

FE is probably a small fandom, so I'm not sure how to rank it.

Smash is probably bigger, but it's not a huge fanbase like Pokemon. However, it's probably far less civil than Pokemon because it's a fighting game. Most Pokemon fans offline seem pretty chill, although I've met the average (or less than average) number of asshole fans online.

I dont know much about any of these fandoms

The meta for competitive pokemon sounds like one of the least fun things I have ever heard of in gaming though

I guess I would say Fire Emblem is the kindest from my point of view simply because I dont think Ive seen much evidence of Fire Emblem fandom myself, although Im sure it exists

The only knowledge I have of FE fandom is that a lot of them were pissed that gatekeeper got 2nd on the best character pole. On the other hand, the community clearly had enough people to vote him that high so that can't be that bad.

Pokmon Go's community was really toxic. I played that game longer than most but quit a couple years ago because all these nerds would rage about 'owning' gyms or about how it wasn't fair that the game never randomly generated shinies for them.

I just liked it as an excuse to check out new parks and go hiking. Of course like most everything else, other people had to ruin it.

That was amazing. He was overwhelmingly first place this year, in the male division. He got the second highest amount of votes of all time in CYL, only behind the queen herself, Edelgard. Lots of salt about it because he made Marth second. First place gets a prf skill. Second doesn't. LMAO

I think Ive heard Smash is the worst, and then Sonic. Between FE and Pokmon, Ive heard they could be bad. But just not as bad. But I cant say which one is better... But thats just what Ive heard over the years... Maybe FE is slightly better, I think... But Idk...

it really was. When they added raiding I would play with local raid groups and there was always so much ridiculous social drama going on between people and groups

Eh its justified. The last 3 generations have been absolute dog shit. Do you expect the majority of hardcore fans to not be mad about that?

considering they spend a ton of their time playing a game series that is quite clearly targeted and marketed for an adolescent audience, yeah I think they could chill a bit and stop acting like its reasonable for them to expect Nintendo and Game Freak to change their entire brand identity and business plans to appease their personal gaming preferences when it would be a lot more simple for them to just expand the types of games that they play until they find something that scratches the itch that pokemon doesnt at the time.

Pokemon is enjoyed by tons of people but its clearly made with a young audience in mind. Doubtful that it is going to change anytime soon. So the Pokmon games that get released a decade from now will probably target 8-12 year olds primarily just like the current games.

XY was an improvement over BW. Su/Mo was fun, once you got past all of the unskippable cutscenes. I haven't played enough of Sw/Sh to have a real opinion other than disliking how they scaled back the roster.

You needed 2 copies of the game. White and black.

White has the easy option, black has the hard. You have to beat the game on whichever one you want to send the "difficulty" from to the other. If you want hard on black, you need 2 copies of black. and vice versa.

Not only that, but you could only send it once per save file.

and all it did was make trainer levels on average be 4 levels higher or lower than yours.

I post on /vp/ basically every day. I would not call the Pokemon community toxic.
If you want a real toxic community, I would suggest any community that will dox others. /cow/ for example is very toxic.

Pokemon is the most mainstream, therefore it's probably the most civil given that the percentage of fanboys to normals slants heavily in favor of the latter.
