Sports is exciting when games are evenly matched, this would go against that where you'd have teams dominate for potentially decades.

Any sport can be made more interesting but betting at least $50 for the underdog

Sports are at their best when there's parity. Hence the need for salary caps and floors. The one sport that doesn't have either is baseball, and it's completely broken. Having arbitrary rules like dictating that players have to be local compromises the ability to have parity.

Also in sports like hockey and baseball, many players are international. It's one thing to force Sidney Crosby to play for Ottawa, it's another thing entirely to ban players like Alexander Ovechkin and Eric Karlsson entirely, since the NHL doesn't have any Russian or Swedish teams.

No. Who plays or has a match isn't the reason I find them boring. Besides some folk actually don't live where they are born so this would seem a dumb rule.

It would be more interesting if a player had a reason to be on a specific team. As it is, player teams are essentially interchangeable, with no real tie to the state they play 'for.' At least college athletes have something that ties them to their state/school.

why if theres only 1 team and so many players and acouple positions to fill the spot. the competition to fill them spots would be huge. so its not like every single good player would be breaking necks. it would also keep players at their true sports like the ones that can play multiple sports like kyler murray
