I got to the point where Nishiki almost executes Kiryu just to spare him from the fate of gruesome yakuza torture. Thing is, this dude has directly tanked a blow from a lead pipe that was delivered from atop a speeding motorcycle. He beat up a city full of pursuers. He is basically the terminator. I imagine he's gonna at least come close to putting the whole Dojima family in its place by the time this game is over. So how do people keep picking fights with him for another six games after this? Thats what I'm curious about .

I just finished 0, Kiwami 1 and 2 over the last month and currently playing through the slogfest that is Yakuza 3. I will give thr series its due, the story goes places and for the most part it makes sense. Plus I don't think there is a better bromance in video games than Kiryu and Majima.

on one hand, it does feel pretty milked, but on the other, the series introduces new threats in a way that makes sense, for the most part.
plus Yakuza 4 has four protagonists and Yakuza 5 has five of them, so even though he has an important part in each game's story, other characters are also given some shine. --- The means of production should belong to the collective unconscious ... Copied to Clipboard!
