This boss was such a pain that I stopped playing the game for 3 days because I didnt want to fight him! It finally started to click though and the first 2 phases started to get really easy. This boss was by far the hardest Ive faced so far. I hope he is really high on the difficulty scale because harder bosses than him will be really annoying.
Give me bosses with weapons any day of the weak over monsters. At least I can deflect constantly. I couldnt even deflect this boss because of all the damn fire. --- I will admit I'm wrong if you prove me wrong. It's how it always should be ... Copied to Clipboard!

good job, dude! that guy was hard as fuck, he tossed my shit for HOURS. i never really understood how to damage his posture so i just whittled away his HP over a loooong fight. toss up for hardest fight in the game between that and final boss.

As soon as I learned I couldnt really deflect his fire attacks outside of the fire umbrella then I gave up on posture and turned it into a health fight --- I will admit I'm wrong if you prove me wrong. Grats dude(tte)! The final boss may be a bit harder.

Wasn't having fun with this boss compared to the Father Owl or Sword Saint Isshin, so I just cheesed him and let him fall to his death.
