The GOP created an entire culture of questioning expertise, distrusting objective facts, etc. They never planned on the people they were brainwashing to actually gain seats in government, but here we are, with Marjorie Greene and her ilk. A guy realized he was going to be impeached so he quit, then claimed it was unconstitutional to impeach him after he was no longer in office

2 days after that Jefferson and co said its absolutely constitutional to impeach someone after they leave office, took him to trial and convicted him.

Not to mention that Congress voted for it to be constitutional prior to the trial. So even if it wasn't constitutional, it is now until the Supreme Court says otherwise.
