But even with all those poll options I think YouTube would still win. Especially if people who work from home and use YouTube to listen to music count that.

I watch more YouTube in a given 3-6 month span than I probably have consumed professional TV in my entire adult life.

Though there is a fair amount of bleed between professional tv stuff and stuff I watch on youtube.

I mean, idk. I can see it either way. I almost never listen to podcasts, youtube fills a similar niche for me. It's very easy to get lost in your interests

I like tv more than most people I know though (def not saying I'm some connoisseur or anything)

I don't watch anything regularly on YouTube, the whole thing is alien to me.

I very rarely watch TV shows and if I do it's not current. Like I've been watching Batman from the 60s.

Mostly I watch films, probably 10-15 a week. I also watch wrestling

Way more YT. Thats how I get information on all the stuff I like, opossed to watching another rinse and repeat series/movie.

Considering I've easily seen over 200,000 videos, if not over 300K, it wouldn't be surprising.

Hell, before I even had my own computer and could watch at my own leisure, I had watched over 8,000 videos in like 7 months of being on YouTube, and that was back in its relative infancy. <_<

so yeah. and with youtube videos in general getting ever longer and longer 100 minutes on an average day isn't too out of the realm of possibility. Though I mix watching youtube with doing other things like playing video games.

Most people in the late 90's-2000's would easily watch over 100 minutes of tv a day, especially on weekends. Really that's only 3 half hour episodes of whatever you're into. One episode with breakfast and two after dinner and you've hit 90 minutes.

YouTube on the other hand you can watch on your desktop, laptop, phone, TV, or many other devices. Hell I'll use my phone to play music videos off YouTube while in the shower.

And with YouTube you can learn ANYTHING!
No offence, but reading someone saying they don't spend any amount of time on YouTube in a given week makes me believe that person to be so boring simply because they must not have a hobby.
I learn about history, animals, culture, and technology weekly. I've learned countless recipes, how to pick locks, tons of programming, how to tie a tie, and countless other things off YouTube.

Anything you've ever been interested in you can watch on YouTube.

Here's a video on how to tell between red and white oak. And you'll look at the thumbnail and think it's obvious but you'll be damn wrong!

1. You must not have a very good phone.
2. My phone is water proof, I keep it on a little shelf on the back of the shower opposite the shower head.

If you have a bad phone then the speaker is not very loud my man.
My phone from 2014 I could hardly hear in the shower, my phone from 2019 is crisp and clear.

???? Sounds like you just refuse to turn the volume up, but you know you can.
Do you also refuse to turn the heater up in the winter? Or the AC in the summer?

People have had shower radios since the 80's. And if the water is loud then the music will be drowned out.

I watch far more TV then YouTube. I mainly use YouTube to find songs or info/reviews on games.

My tv is always on unless I'm playing a game on it. YouTube is only a couple hours per week max usually.
