It isn't known how long she's been working there as the Carroll County Schools said the safety of their students is the number 1 priority and contacted the parents immediately when this was revealed and fired the teacher immediately

One parent told Fox News that her daughter had PRAISED Ressler as a substitute and said "My daughter had been bragging about the substitute, said they were having lots of fun, that they played lots of games"

Francis Burns, whose grandson is at that school said "She needs to pay dearly. If i had a child in that class, i probably would be in jail tonight. Our kids are our future and when you have someone like that, they sure don't need to be around children"

Im not defending the public school system. It is shitty. In America anyway idk about other places, but I feel like there is good in the interaction with other kids, its good in the physical aspect of recess and PE, its even good in having an asshole teacher. Its important to learn about assholes.

Home school probably is the best route if you are routinely giving your children interaction with other kids and such.

so Im sorry for saying its stupid. Just the stereotype of home school is trash people not wanting their kids in public school because they have a black history month. And I know youre not that.

In ninth grade my algebra teacher was a 23 year old first year teacher and there was 40 kids in my class.

a parent who cares about their kid can teach that kid more than that teacher taught me.

There are homeschooling groups. People have this misconception that homeschool is some kid just isolated in his home with his mom all day. Plus, if you go to church (which i don't) thats more socializing time. Plus, my and the lady have friends with children

Do you really feel the curriculum you had in school was something you couldn't teach your kids? Lol. If you can't keep up with your 9 year olds schooling you have big problems. Not that you can't copy the curriculum easily enough if you wanna go that route. But education is lighting a fire. Education isn't making a kid sit in a cubicle all day. You could teach what the very low achieving public school system teaches in a fraction of the time yourself. The most important thing to teach your children anyway is character

As I said, homeschoolers have communities and groups. The isolation stereotype isn't a reality. But yes, I experienced school the same way you did. That doesn't mean that's the right way. Thats just what you've been accustomed to and told is the proper way your whole life

I dont think its the right way, but I feel like social interaction is more important than most of the shit they teach outside of how to read and addition and subtraction

I was actually homeschooled for all of fourth grade because of many reasons and while I got way ahead of the other fourth graders my mom wanted to rip her fucking hair out because of who I am as a person

Not for nothing, but a lot of schools can't provide that experience either. There are people on this board who talk about going to high schools with a measly 200 students. I kid you not, 200 students!

God my school had so many fuckin kids in it. 34-42 students was absolutely every class.

I feel so bad (looking back now) at my PE teacher who had 40 9th grade boys in his class teaching health when this teacher was a fucking PE teacher. Not a health teacher.

It really hasnt

I was home schooled, educationally I did just fine, in Illinois you still have state level tests you have to take to make sure you're still getting an education. I feel like it is a good system here. Emotionally I was a bit behind, but I was in public school from pre k-4th grade and was even more awkward.

There are groups of home schoolers that would take classes together (usually with a parent that was a professional, my hs math teacher was a college professor that home schooled) and take field trips, so I had friends despite my general awkwardness that I really didn't have in public school.
