It really speak well of the camera, but I'd also like to know what memory card could survive this.

That has to be broadcasting remotely. There's just no way any consumer electronic device is going to survive ~2000F.

Maybe, it was streaming to something else, but if it was fully covered no radio signal is going to broadcast through hot rock. I would expect to see some artifacts from some loss of signal at some point in the recording.

Ok, here is more to the story.

That footage was what survived on the Go Pro's memory card. It does seem that the camera did have wi-fi, but wasn't being used to stream.

I'm going to have to press X to doubt on this one.

well it is cooling lava. And its only the memory card thats confirmed functional.
Theres a gameboy in that survived a bomb during the gulf war. Still plays games. Just needed a new screen. I believe its in a museum in NYC.

so I dont doubt this could happen

surviving being next to an explosion is one thing

2000 degrees f is a different story

you literally catch on fire just being around lava.

it's melted rock

It wasnt next to the explosion it was in it:

https://www.wearethemighty.com/mighty-movies/this-what-happened-with-the-game-boy-that-works-after-being-blown-up/

Lava erupts at about 2,000 and by the time its running down the mountain its already down to 1,800 and solidifies at 1,000

Warheads detonate outputting temperatures at 9,000, granted its not sustained.

Im not saying the video is definitely legit. By Im saying I believe it could happen. Its not as far fetched as it might sound. And I dont personally think it was faked here.

Plus the tour guide (owner of the GoPro) said it was in a protective life proof case.
If theres anything to take away from this, its that the case deserves a 5 star review.
