I called the irs though and they said they sent the check out on the 5th. It's for a prior year tax return.

I checked irs website and it said i had ti file my 2nd stim on my taxes. So i did. And then the stim came in. -_-

They dont start accepting returns until the 12th and even for direct deposit it can still take until the end of the month to get it if nothings wrong with the return.
If you're getting a physical check, i wouldnt expect it until mid march at the earliest --- I shouldnt be approaching 30 and preparing for life as a climate refugee. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah every year I E-file by Jan 25th and I usually get my direct deposit around Feb 21st-30th.

I feel like they want to delay ther refunds because they're worried about the value of the dollar crashing even further with these multiple stimulus checks.

But under normal circumstances those return checks are probably offset by other aspects of the economy and those that are claiming their stim checks are a relatively small group. That's not true it's a huge group. And financial analysts all over are sounding the alarm on the effects its having as far as devaluing the dollar.
