The U.S. Navys top admiral on Tuesday condemned two new racist incidents involving hate symbols on warships, which sources said included a noose that was left on a Black sailors bed.

When I was pretty new to the Air Force this trashy white dude said the n-word around a black coworker who told him to say it again and see what would happen. The kid did it so the black guy took him down and choked him out at work. Pretty sure the entire squadron knew but the only punishment was a "counseling session" followed by a fist bump.

I never got along with the white kid but the lack guy dude was cool, I was one of the first people he told when he got engaged.

The part of the military I work in is definitely more liberal and intolerant of bigoted BS than the rest of the parts of the military.

Guess I got really lucky, don't know if I'd be able to deal with people like this that think racism or sexism is ok.

I'm not sure about other branches, but I worked in air traffic where you the dumb idiots got filtered out pretty quickly, because it's not a job you can be a dumb idiot. Obviously some like the kid I described earlier slip through the cracks, but you're gonna find a few racists pretty much every where you go until we get all that idiocy filtered out.
