Oof feels like I bought bitcoin at the worst possible time. Had a feeling that was going to be the case and it wouldn't be able to break 50k resistance again.

Don't get into Bitcoin if you're not planning to leave stuff in there long term.

It's likely going to be 200-300k by this time next year so just buy and hold and don't worry about its day to day. Bitcoin does this all the time.

Whoa, I might get in on that. As a part-time teacher working primarily with early 20-somethings, I see their social anxiety (and comfort with digital communication) firsthand. Dating apps will only get bigger as they grow older imo.

This is both true, and something that I am fairly sure could be copied by other apps. I can't imagine you can have a patent on women send messages first

Sure it can be copied, but there's value in being first. I've never used dating apps outside of Tinder years ago, and even I associate Bumble as the "girl-friendly one".

I use Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Clover, etc. Ive probably gone out with literally over 100 women using all those apps and banged maybe 30. Bumble is certainly the most female-friendly. But does that matter for the stock price? I will also say that the efficacy of these dating apps have greatly dwindled in the past five or so years. Its much harder to get dates with people nowadays using apps compared to back then. Im sure there are many reasons for this.

There's some pretty interesting literature that says that being a first mover isn't always an advantage. Google was not the first search engine, Microsoft was not the first operating system, Apple was not the first phone maker.

Some times being the first mover means you get latched into your paradigm and can't adapt

I would reckon that Tinder would have a better shot than Bumble. Although another feature of Bumble is that you can switch modes to Business and also Friend. Meaning its technically more than a dating app though I seriously doubt more than 10% of users use those other two features.

At any rate, it does seem that a large majority of IPOs increase within the first two months at some point. I just dont think Bumble will be a banger like some of the other IPOs.

I'd be looking to hold for at least a year, so perhaps I'm just looking at it from a different perspective.

FWIW, MTCH is apparently a stock. Its Match.com which includes Tinder, Hinge, and I think a few others. Its been doing pretty well. So yeah, maybe Im wrong.

Bloomberg has it as expected to close in 2nd Quarter 2021. The post-merger ticker will be ME, which I like - it's simple and catchy. I actually think there is significant value in C3.AI getting the ticker symbol AI - if there was no company, that ticker symbol alone would have a lot of value.

After doing some more research, I like Bumble as an IPO. Match has crushed the market since Covid and I dont see why Bumble cant mimic its success, so long as its at a lower price.

Oh yeah guys also I did get in on the weed train and made bank off KERN when it was having 30% days every day.

The real kicker though, I almost bought KERN warrants when they were 1 and those are over 3 now. Every fucking warrant trade I've looked at has been a winner already and they're just getting started. AVCTW is the one lagging behind; hopefully their first call will be the game changer.

Should have just bought the KERN warrants and stayed long, but glad I got in on weed stocks either way.
