If Mahomes wins this he very likely will. He'll only be 4 rings and 2 MVPs behind Brady and will have the head-to-head tie-breaker. He's only what, 25? If he wins tomorrow he could easily pass Brady.

On the other hand if he loses, he'll be 6 rings behind Brady and Brady will have the tie-breaker. So he'll need 7 rings to pass Brady and even then people will still say that Brady is better because he beat him at 43 years old.

Thats why this super bowl is the biggest game Mahomes will ever play in his career. He's not chasing greatness or the hall of fame, he's chasing GOAT status. A win or a loss causes a huge swing in the GOAT conversation

They have one of the best coaches in the league, a QB who looks like he was built in a lab to play the position, and the best offensive supporting cast in the league. They basically score at will. Did you watch their playoff game last year against the Texans? Or the 4th quarter last year against an elite 49ers defense?

The only reason to assume Mahomes won't approach that many rings is assuming something tragic like a serious leg or throwing shoulder injury.

You simply cannot stop the Chiefs offense. Montana had 3 years in a row where he went one-and-done in the playoffs. Thats just not gonna happen during Mahomes' Chiefs run unless he has a tragic injury.

Not only that, but Montana had crazy competition in the NFC in the 80s. The AFC now is so weak compared to the 80s and 90s NFC. I agree, and I think if the Chiefs win today... they will 3-peat, and possibly go for a 4th in a row. I'm fine with it, though, I like Mahomes.
