If you are in IT there isn't many places in America that are big on IT that don't get cold. Chicago is cold as fuck in the winter. Its nickname is literally The Windy City. Maybe Austin or Houston? Though there are bigger IT areas and those are in Texas so you would be surrounded by crazy. What type of IT are you in specifically or do it not matter? You are pretty much going to get wet anywhere you live except Southern California or the Southwest in Arizona/New Mexico. California, while big on tech, has been doing its best the last few years to compete with Florida to be the most batshit insane state in the country, and neither Arizona or New Mexico are big tech centers. What type of IT do you do? That will depend on where the best place for you is. Medical for example there is no better place in the world then Boston.
