From my understanding, Florida has been at 100% capacity and fully opened around September and with no state mask mandate. According to this chart, they aren't particularly worse off than states with major restrictions. According to the graph in the link, Florida has 46 daily cases per 100k. California has 43. New York has 55.

Is it time to maybe just open up?

I guess the point is some states are making workers and small businesses suffer, shut down and go broke with the relatively the same outcome (or higher) than Florida where it seems people can keep their jobs.

I find it hard to believe that DeSantis would support opening everything up, and then declare failure and say "Well, I done fucked up" He's a spineless lying Republican who will hide and fake numbers to make it look like he did the right thing for the sake of his career. If Florida was testing as well as these other states, you'd see a much higher per capita daily case rate.

That's a good point. The things posted so far mostly seem to be just opinion pieces and nothing with actual solid data to say Florida is for sure "fudging" the numbers.
