To make a character you have to make a first name and a last name and then an Alias that people use to PM you/add you to their friends list/etc. (like your handle basically). I went to name it and thought of the Transformer character Sky Hammer but wanted to change it up, thus Air Hammer. When I joined the Bottalk message board in 2000 I used the name. Coincidentally Hasbro made a Beast Wars Fuzor toy in 1998 with the same name. Around 2003 a user began calling me Hammy and I got an avatar of Hamm from Toy Story. The nickname and pig avatars stuck.
