Are you talking monthly or quarterly? Because some industries do that, particularly when it comes to profit-sharing.

Only if it's like RSUs that vest over time

That's typical in tech. Signon get X amount of stock that vests over 4 years with like a 1 year cliff, then get refreshers.

But I don't categorize that as a bonus.

Or signing cash bonuses too can be over a few years.

Dunno. At my previous work, my manager got a $20k bonus. He was sad it was "the same as last year," lol. I only got a $1000 bonus. It was never split across the pay period.
