A Canadian group that was set up to protest that countrys COVID-19 regulations, which includes mask wearing and lockdowns, recently attempted a citizens arrest of the mayor of St. Catharines, Ontario. The groups tactics are the brainchild of a self-proclaimed karate master who has connections to dojos all across the country.

None of the accusations Oke or Kidder have levied against politicians have any factual basis. They are, instead, the product of wide-reaching fiction-based conspiracies that circulate on the internet and are mostly the creation of far-right and white supremacist groups.

Literally had this happen in one of my classes.

The group I was training with at the time referred to all black belts as "<first name> sensei". I was helping out with a kids' class for a while and on the last day of the semester, my fellow instructor was giving the kids a quiz. At one point, he pointed to me and asked the youngest kid in the class - a boy who could not have been older than four - "What's his name?"
"darkknight sensei"
"And what's his last name?"
The kid gave him the biggest 'Are you fuckin' stupid or something?' look and replied, "Sensei!" in his most sardonic 'I literally just said that' tone of voice.

Had a good chuckle at that one.
