as a developing teen your body needs more rest. Having classes start at 7:30am with some kids needing 2-3 hours to get ready/commute doesn't give students much time to properly rest unless all they do is homework/school/sleep. Some students even have part-time jobs so they aren't getting the rest they need especially if they have kids.

I remember when i was 14, there was this energy drink called Cocaine. It had like 300 mgs of caffeine and all the kids thought it was the coolest shit. Everyone rumored that it had actual coke in it.

In reality it tasted like shit and got you cranked for half an hour.

Then we had NOS in the blue plastic bottle that tasted like carbonated pineapple juice. Yuck.

No. We didn't even have access to that type of thing out my middle school. They served lunch at the cafeteria. I believe there was a little spot to buy ice cream. That's it.

Even in High School they only had a couple soda machines.

I didn't get on energy drinks until I started working and didn't start bringing them to school until my second year of high school. Probably would've helped if I specifically used it to focus in middle school, but also probably would've just made me an even more disruptive klown.

EDIT: Just Poweraide and Gatorade. Never bothered with any others.
