Do people actually watch these 5-10 hour videos start to end? I dont get why people make one behemoth of a video instead of just spreading it out into more easily consumable 20 minute chunks. While someone can simply just watch pieces of a large video at a time, youre going to have a much better time with viewer retention by having them come back daily rather than hope that they eventually finish the video.

Yeah, I came across that the other day. I binged every episode last year, and can confirm the thumbnail can be an accurate mood.

Modern episodes aren't really that bad, but binging 32 seasons of anything can be rough.

Some people just like to have chatter in the background as they do other things. Has probably gotten more common too during the pandemic

I love them.

I don't watch them per se, but I work long shifts so listening to a lengthy YT vid (even with random nonsense) makes the day go much faster than dozens of shorter videos.
